The Pinisi Schooner "MSY Aurora"
The vessel has been specifically built and refitted to suit long range live aboard scuba diving expeditions and underwater photography. With a 420 hp Mitsubishi engine, the ship is very fast and has a cruising speed of 7-10 knots (with sails) to ensure swift travel.

In Sorong we’ll spend the “winter months“ from November to March. This region is huge
and tours uncountable.
In March /April: We go back clockwise from Sorong – Ambon- Banda See to Komodo
and go for dry dock in May.

All dives are guided dives, only in exceptional cases buddy teams can dive on their own.
Usually, no dives during the day of arrival and departure (dives might be possible depending
on tour and schedule).
Prerequisites for divers
50 dives and at least ADVANCED diver certification.
OWD can complete the PADI AOWD on board of Aurora. Also, on request and subject to
availability, we offer private guides for beginners, supplement 50 EUR per day (see price

For the moment being, no temporary diving insurance possible. We strongly advice the
guests to have one prior to departure.
