This CENDRAWASIH Liveaboard Cruise is carried out in 2 variations:
1. Biak – Biak
The dive cruise starts at the dive sites of Biak. The dive sites in Cenderawasih Bay are not as rich in marine life and coral as in Raja Ampat, but they offer fields of stone corals plus some endemic fish and many wrecks.
Highlights of the trip are certainly the amazing whale sharks, where we spend 1 or 2 days. Above water we can see many beautiful secluded beaches, incredible waterfalls and villages with friendly Papuan people. The cruise ends in Biak, with another dive at a wreck nearby.
2. Sorong – Biak
The tour starts at the famous dive sites of Kri Island. With more than 600 species of coral, a huge selection of colorful macro-creatures and many species of fish in all sizes, Raja Ampat is a hotspot for biodiversity. Reputable marine biologist have called this area a “species factory”.
After a two-day crossing with 2 dives at ‘junkyard’ (an overgrown wreck from the second world war,) Cenderawasih Bay will be reached. Diving the wrecks of Manokwari are only possible with full charter booking.
